My full and final was presented to creditors 28 days after I contacted DFD. The proposal was accepted, the proposal stated that the funds must be paid in within 3 months and my monthly contributions must continue until funds were paid in. My dad wrote the cheque and sent it in and three weeks later ...

I work in insurance and so was really split about taking it out. Our last dog had an autoimmune condition and with no insurance the medication alone was £1000 per year for eight long years. When we got Jack I took it out and he got a bad infection shortly afterwards and I have had seven times back w...

Hi kazzy I am really sorry to hear about the problems you are having. To me there is only one solution and that is to speak directly with your IP. My IP at DFD was exceptionally good, it is a shame I had to go through the customer care staff at all. Having said that, my IP had a lady working for him...

Hi all The good news is in, the variation went through as proposed and Dad is writing the cheque now! I hope to keep in touch with you all, even though my journey is now ending as this site is a wonderful and precious resource. Thanks to Declan and the team at DFD for their help. Redundancy seems le...

As an update, I have today had contact with my IP. Many thanks to Declan for getting this issue moving, and thanks must also go to Jan for providing the link to get the email address. I will let you know how the matter progresses.
Thank you all for keeping me sane and strong.

Thanks Melanie. Your advice is always useful and I respect your view. By the time DFD get to my offer I will have most likely paid three more payments. I think your suggestion is a positive compromise perhaps a few more payments. With the benefit of hindsight I would have shopped round first but I w...

Put everything in writing to DFD who couldn't find the email when I called but then magically found it in the communal mailbox (doesn't it sound lovely). I've been asked not to call the call centre again and wait eight weeks. It'll be nearly Xmas at this rate!

All I felt compelled to tell you about DFD. I have worked in PR and know about customer service. I am not allowed to speak to my IP without putting a written request in writing and giving two weeks notice! When you call the call centre you are always kept on hold for exactly five minutes listening t...
