Could you advise me on the best morgage lender to approach , for people in an iva. Having problems finding a lender , looking to downsize property to reduce outgoings exsisting lender C&G do not want our business because of our iva. Thankyou.

Hi Melenie, Our equity is approx £25,000 minus selling fees.We will have an increase of £350.00 per month if we stay with our exsisting lender,on a standard variable rate! Ican not remorgage due to the fact i have an IVA! This is not the advise i was given by DFD before i entered into an IVA agreement. We have had permission to sell to release equity, our problem is that in 2009 our fixed rate is due to end and our morgage payments will increase by £350.00 per month!This is worrying as we will not be able to remorgage and get a good deal while we have an IVA.
