furthermore if you do own a property when you IVA is accepted your Supervisor would have to put a restriction on the house a notice of which goes to all parties (including your husband) its unavoidable.

You should really be paying only 1 payment and even then it should only be once the IP has done the work and you have received your proposal therefore its not really "upfront". If they are asking for money before they do anything or they ask for multiple payments before the creditors meeting then my...

DFD charge total fees of 40% of total realisations. I used to work for an IP who worked there. I think if they are high payers then its not that much. Its more a case of they will never charge more than 40% of realisations. It was something to do with KPMG that they started doing it. At times they w...

Thats very interesting! The only downside i would assume would be low debt IVAs would pay a percentage of the fees as they would pay back more than they actually owe. If you can get them through on that basis then fair play to you! Thumbs up! P.S I also like the look of your site. Very informative.

Your talking about the whole DFD thing of 40% of realisations.

We don’t charge on this scale and we have dealing with other IP’s and to be honest Haines Watts and DFD are the only firms I know that do on this scale. And even then Haines Watts only use it as a last resort.

How can you get an IVA accepted on 7,500 of debt? I have significant problems getting IVAs of anything less than £15,000 of debt accepted. Partly because of the costs involved but partly because the creditors just do not like it on a low debt they would rather see the client do it themselves or thro...

To be honest the fees of an IVA vary greatly from case to case. We have had clients whos fees have been £5,000 in total including Nominees Fee. On the flip side we have cases where the fees have exceeded £15,000 in total. The matter of fees depend soley on the co-operation of the debtor and also the...
