Hi, i have been told there is a strong chance that I may lose my job next week without any settlement. How does losing your job effect your iva and what do I need to do with my iva? Will my iva be suspended until I can find another job. My father has offered me the money to clear my iva if necessary...

Thank you for the kind words - just about coping. I am trying to basically work out what the best thing is for me to do - my parents have been fantastic in offering the help but I am not sure what to do. Suppose I will have to do some sums and work out which gets me in a better position sooner. rega...

I have just rang my IP and they have been a little vague so i was wondering if anyone on here can help me? I currently pay around £260 a month with 3 years left on my IVA, ...

Hi Melanie,
I don't have a mortgage as I rent. I could see if I could get a 3rd party to help me out or as you say I can have a look at argos as well as Harverys that has been recommended previously by a number of members.
Regards,
Paul

Must admit a second hand bed doesn't really appeal. I am going through a payment restructure at the moment so my have to sleep on the floor until I have had it all approved with my creditors. Don't really like asking for payment breaks as I had a 3 month payment break at the start of the year as my ...

Hi,
Well I dealt with Duncton directly with no issues.
Had the car now for 6 months and all good so far.
My IVA company allowed me a 3 month payment break to help with the deposit.
Regards
Paul

Hi Pap, I second Bryn's comment and I too have a Step Account. Your IP (Insolvency Practioner) can advise you on a bank account - but Natwest step account is a good one. An IVA is a good way of at least paying something back and feeling better for doing so. I am now 13 months in and 47 months to go....

Hi luluj,
I am paying 190 per month instead of the 295 i was paying previously. They knew about the IVA has Melanie's contact informed them at the time of application. But if you want to ring them directly just be sure to tell them you ae in an IVA.
