I have recently split up with my partner who i believe may be looking at bankruptcy which may of course endanger our IVA agreement. Can anyone advise if that agreement would then just be made applicable to me or would the IVA be adjusted to just reflect my debt.
thanks

I put down the IP but to be fair to them I'll give it another couple of days to see if they help, so i've deleted. I'm disappointed though because the start was fairly promising but hasn't been so great since. I suspect that it's a staff problem although I have emailed the IP and not had a response....

Ok.

Who is the nominee and who is the supervisor? I have only ever received a modification document, nothing else. There doesn't ever appear to have been a chairman's report sent to me. I've not received any paperwork since IVA agreed in December.

IVA since beginning of December 08. Yes I've emailed my IVA company, practioner and others but have not received either a response or in the very initial instance, a 'we'll have a look at it' response and nothing since. That was two weeks ago. No update.
thanks

I've recently been receiving more phone calls from agencies I owe money to but who agreed my IVA. I've tried to gain an answer from my IVA practioner/company but have had a poor response. Any suggestions?
thanks

Just a note to say, thank you so much to Melanie Giles from Jones&Giles. We finally (no thanks to me) secured agreement from our creditors for our IVA on Tuesday of last week. Melanie, you and your team were hugely helpful, patient and helpfully persistent in helping us organise ourselves to resolve...

Have got Melanie Giles looking after us, who has been extremely helpful. Just trying to make sure that they have all the info they need to put forward the Iva proposal.

thank you both for replying, means a lot. I'll come back down off of the ceiling.

cheers

I know the post i'm commenting on was last December, but your comment regarding how you dealt with the Barclays bloke has just made me feel 100 times better.

thanks mate

I contacted all of our creditors at the end of August this year to advise of our current situation and to give authorisation for them to speak to our IVA team. Despite our request to not contact us at home via telephone they are ringing 3-4 times a day with RBS and HSBC being the main perpetrators. ...

Hi there. Tell me, why have you not been down to the Local Authority Homeless Team to discuss your options re your housing? You would be advised to take free advice from Shelter (the Housing Advice Charity) before you do anything re private rental. I suspect that any local authority would be pushing...

I would imagine that it'll be due to the current climate I'm sure.

We will be changing our phone number this week, I'm due for surgery next week and won't be able to deal with the stress of it all.

thanks .
WE're in the initial 'oh ****t' stage so nothing has been agreed yet.
It'll be interesting to see where it all goes.
Hopefully we've got Melanie and her team on board so fingers crossed.
