[:)]Thanks andydavie. Applied to Vanquis and today had a call to say I had been accepted.Nice to know it will be there if we need it and I can 100 per cent say anything that does go on it will be paid off in full every month.

hara, In reply to your question my husbands elderly parents live in Spain and when they have been ill during out IVA we had to borrow money from friends to pay for flights to get out to help them.Because we cant tell if they need our help again at anytime a CC would be useful to have in case we need...

I had my IVA with payplan and found them very fair and easy to deal with. I had to take a couple of payment breaks during my IVA as I was made redundant and they were very understanding and helpful when it came to sorting that out.Goos luck with your IVA[:)]

Well all confirmed in writing today...have stayed with same bank as I felt they could see my history of operating my basic account. Well I do have some credit available on my file. I have a couple of catalouge accounts and a mobile phone contract and my payments are all up-to-date.Just hope they take thoses into account when making a decision about a current bank account.

Well had my appointment today with my bank to see if I could now, after I have completed my "six years", I could have a "proper" bank account.And I still don't know[:(] I was told I was an L1 customer...lowest risk possible....all details were added to the computer....salary, rent,council tax etc......

Have to agree with both replies. Having completed my 5 years plus 1....I'd also say stick with it!! I did a DMP before the IVA and was constantly hassled by my creditors, really wished I'd done the IVA straight away!!

To be honest it feels great to complete the six years. Having the debts was a real heavy burden, I'd hidden most of the debts from my partner and confessing to him was awful. [:)]Applied today to change my Virgin Mobile PAYG to a contract and passed the credit check[:D]. Paying just £10 per month for 300mins and 300Texts by DD.
Hope that's a good sign for my possible bank account upgrade next week.
