I assume you had informed the IVA company that you had move. I'll be surprise if you didn't?? As for the payrise, in so far as they are inflationary increases I don't think you need to worry.Your I/E would have gone up as inflation rages on. Creditors normally want a yearly report on debtors, and it ...

creditors are so wayward and fickle these days, it is increasing unclear how they operate, there isn't a system like those employed in playing cards and winning their hand.As long as you don't have MBNA as your creditors chances of acceptance are above evens....strangle things happen...incl Andy Mur...

I do not think the £50 allowance per person(as revealled in most I/E plans mentioned here in the forum here) as a contingency is adequate, and so in the real life IVA cases people have to save their other pots of budget to make it work. There has been examples cited in this forum here of suddent cos...

Aguise, I wouldn't hold too much faith on the Siva. A lot of people think it is coming anytime soon???? The IVA is built on a win win fair and aquare foundation, and not an uneven playing field which an SIVA is-works against the Bank in a climate of big looses. The politics are all hidden-the Insolv...

A most interesting thread I think. I used to believe that as Banks make more losses from write downs or impairment charges the easier it is to get personal IVAs through....Wrong! MBNA is now harsher than in 2007 period when most IP say this Bank were willingly accepting IVAs. The Banks are putting t...

Well, what can I say....?? The scheme is suppose to help people to get credit when they can't...how can anyone have a perfect credit record??
The scheme is another sardonic grimm tale.....I was too hasty to think the government has turned a new leaf.....

There is another scheme in the BIG PACKAGE - where if you can't pay your mortgage then the council will take over and you pay them rent as they get to 'own it' like a pawn broker....(not entirely new)but will avert Repossession or Charging order from banks. I think if this other scheme came in 2 yrs...

Upto %30 free (no interest) deposit to go towards the house purchase.By 5 yrs the market should be OK(But I doubt it) and if you can't pay the interest starting then you pay a fee till you can....but no REPOSSESSION hassles... The interest will be as low as the current Bank rates as it is government...

Have to be the news of the day and I think it will benefit IVA people coming off IVAs and wanting to buy. If saving for deposit is another 5 year affair then people will never buy! So market falls further. So with this new -upto 30% free interest loan for 5 yrs -but you must not have a dep' - only f...

The coucil's waiting list system is based on need and having an IVA and Bankrupcy(discharged)would not discrimate anyone from the provisions. Its all on points scoring and prioritising 'need'....it works well. Caroline Flint, Housing Minister today appears to be less sympathetic to the Labour left i...

Admin,
As new comer to this site and having blogged in many sites, my observations is that this site does feel like an IVA chatroom first and advice centre second. So some reorganisation from those who wants to 'go to class' and those to want wax superlatives on IVA is welcomed.

Nobody gets sacked for blotching up big time and simply say whoopsee daisy.....or that they are chasened by the bad experience. As a solicitor I would be reported to the Bar council for blotching cases up but I don't practice anymore....anyway integrity is lacking in the Banking world. Sad!

I am new and don't normally post on these pages but did see the Emily blogg that was deleted. My wife is a solicitor and used to work for the Citizen Advice in Leeds mainly on employment law issues. She tells me that dmp plans are temp' solutions in debt resolution as you are not legally protected f...
