I opened a current a/c with the Co-op just before I made enquiries about an IVA - at that time my credit rating was probably okay, so I got the account with a cheque book and debit card. I think I would miss a cheque book, if I didn't have one, but at the same time it wouldn't be the end of the worl...

Ooooh, Hobnobs! I'm glad to see they've brought back dark chocolate Hobnobs, and the best news is, Wispa bars will be back for good as of September!
Wispas are back?!
Best! News! Of! The! Day!
(Okay I know getting an IVA approved is special too, but come on, priorities and all that). [;)]

Basically The Silence of The Lambs is one of my favourite films, and Jodie Foster one of my fave actresses.
Of course, if anyone steps out of line, I may have to make a few arrests, but you all seem very well behaved! [;)]

I taped this last night and am watching it now.
Probably no huge surprises as we all pretty much know how they operate, but still it's disgusting, hearing about their bonus payments and so on.

Thanks, everyone, and I appreciate the comments.
Also, good to know there are other choccie lovers on here - I was thinking that now I'm in an IVA, I should give up chocolate.
Then I thought, how ridiculous! Get a grip!
I'm back to normal now. [8D]

I know it's worrying, and no doubt more so if you can't get hold of someone, still I suppose these things can sometimes take much longer than we expect.
Hang on in there, and you should have some news soon.

As I posted elsewhere, my IVA was accepted this morning, so obviously I'm very happy about that. I'm boringly teetotal, so shall be celebrating tonight with a glass (perhaps two) of my favourite tipple (Pepsi Max), some chocolate, and a DVD. I wish all the best to those of you who are still waiting ...

Yes, I agree. I wouldn't feel any guilt - it's not like you've just gone out and bought a Ferrari or something (obviously if you have just done this, then I take it all back!) Seriously, I'd say if you're in an IVA and keeping to the payments, then there's nothing to feel guilty about because you ar...

Yeah, I agree about finding this forum sooner, though that said, for me personally, it was only last year that I took my head out of the sand as it were.
I feel sorry for people who perhaps aren't aware of this place, and get bad or wrong advice.

Thought I'd just leap into this forum and wish you good luck (hello everyone, by the way, as this is my first post, and didn't want to start a new thread). My IVA was approved earlier this morning (thanks to Melanie Giles and her team), and so of course I'm feeling huge relief right now. I had to ch...
