I would speak to your ip as you may need a variation from the creditors as an extra 12 months of payments is going to be well short of the 32k required. make sure you will be able to afford these payments you will need to for the full 60 months and it is a struggle this is the most important stage of an iva and the root cause of most failures dont be pressured into accepting a payment you cant maintain for the term.

it would have been better to get permission first from the ip but i would hope he will see the car was a must needed item because if you cant get to work you cant pay the iva

I take it you have paid about 8k into the iva with approx 6k remaining you will save on fees for 2 years but also need to pay a fee for finishing early i am no expert your ip can advise a settlement figure but if i was offering taking into account they will be getting their money sooner it would be ...

Yes that will have to be the case but i think we will be looking at a couple of years before it goes up in my opinion ,so now is the time to get your iva insurance and increases added to your I+E you need sorted put to the ip before payments are increased.
