Hi, Reclamation of bank charges whilst in an IVA is not very clever, as I am sure it would be classed as windfall and if for any reason you had to ask to reduce payments for any reason beyond your control via a variation meeting they would not be keen to agree.

Sorry, just in case my post is read or taken the wrong way.

The I&E with your IVA payment included should in effect be zero.

Hi markmeone, My IP called variation meetings twice during the IVA, this due to circumstances beyond my control, basically it is the same as a creditors meeting where your IP proposes a new payment based on your current circumstances and they vote to agree or disagree the same. If your I&E is done c...

Hi, Have you had an increase in income, are you sure your I&E is correct? My payments never went up, in fact I had two variation meetings during the course of my IVA and the payments ended up considerably lower than when it started.

The IVA should drop off six years from the agreement date, the same for any defaults as these should either be before or on the agreement date, providing they were part of the IVA.

Mine all dropped off at the same time.

Hi Worryhead, I suppose it all depends on how much you currently pay monthly and how much pence per £ was agreed at the start. Did you ask your IP for the settlement figure?

Who charged £175.00 for a credit check !!

Hi, if your are talking about income tax, then yes it can be included. It was included on mine, up to the point of the creditors agreement, anything owed after this time must be paid as usual.

Hi Barry, I have just completed my IVA with SPW and have had no such problems, they have always been very efficient and understanding. During the course of my IVA there have been two variation meetings which the IP organised due to changes in my circumstances, first one due because the originally ag...

Hi Melanie,

He is 34 years old and single, lives in rented accommodation. He owes just over £36k and takes home around £1300.00 per month. Why they suggested a DMP I am not sure as an IVA makes more sense to me. Maybe as he is single and has no dependants?? Don't know.

Hi 600Andy, I had exactly the same experience as yourself and in the end had to get my IP to review and arrange a modification. As you say, the initial proposal, on paper looked OK, but did not take into account a lot of, which at the time, seems minor expenditure, but turns out to be essential to l...
