I though I was one of the unlucky ones...tried for a 70p but the creditors put in a modification when I took it out and I ended up paying 92p in the pound over six years....Did do it though !

I would seriously think about an IVA if you are committed to repaying your debts, if you want a final positive outcome and a plan of action that leaves you knowing exactly what is required of you then an IVA is for you.

I became a school governor just after entering into my IVA six years ago. The IVA didnt affect it in anyway and I was also Chair of Governors for two years.
Now That I have finished the IVA I have also moved onto Governorship of a second school

My Advice: DONT GET ONE
If you have got one, put money in it and build up a credit amount. Sure there's not much interest, if any, but at least you have built up something to spend
