Hi, can someone please tell me the name and address of the governing body for companies involved in the administration of IVA's. I have a serious complaint to lodge against the company my IVA is done through, and would like an investigation, but do not know who to contact. Thanks.

I hope to get an answer to this question from ianmillington and/or melaniegiles. Since posting questions about my IVA back in september I have asked for a variation as advised, I have been forcepayments I make due to the considerable rise in outgoings, and have provided my IP with new income/expendi...

Hi b165, you should think of yourself and not the IVA, BUT, keep in mind that there is a possibility that if you and your girlfriend move in together, her earnings MAY be taken into account when it comes to calculating what you can afford to repay monthly. Regards.

Hi Ian. Many thanks for the help, but I suspect I will get a "rough passage" as you call it, will be digging my heals in regarding my partners salery, and only giving details of her "contribution" to the household expenses, which amounts to about 1/3 of her salery, I can see no reason she should con...

Hi Mel, its now called debt solve, formally Tony Freeman & Co. How do I know that paying money into this account will go where its supposed to, and realistically, I would need to halve my monthly payments to survive, is it likely this will be found accepatable, given I have paid around £12,500 back ...

Hi Ian and Mel, interesting reading. At the risk of being a pain, I have a couple more questions, firstly: at the first meeting when an IVA was discussed,I said I wanted to "try to do the right thing and pay some money back" to my creditors, the person who later became my IP worked figures, but I ha...

Hi Melanie, I not what you say about the payments being "falsly staggered" to make an IVA fit, and I am still of the opinion that this might well have been the case, especially in light of what Ian mentioned, the magic 25p in the pound as it was when I started my IVA. If my monthly payments were red...

I have had one such letter, and some calls by phone, but I have been reading on the internet as well, my payments started at £300, 1st year, are now £450, next year £500.00, and so on, and I still cant get an answer as to why my partner has to help, its not her debt. She puts 1/3 of her salery into ...

I have been told that I should not be in an IVA, should not have been put in one as I have no assets to "protect" and that I have a good claim against the company that advised me, to get back what I have paid. I have been told that a very small amount of what I pay goes to my creditors, the bulk goe...

I believe I may have been sold an IVA incorrectly, I am not a home owner, have no tangible assets to "protect", the monthly amount I have to pay was set up at the start of the IVA 2.5 years ago and is a "rolling " amount that increases by £50 per month each year for 5 years, with my disposeable inco...
