I completed my IVA via a F&F last December, received my completion certificate in June, and I'm being declined for a credit card - am now going to wait until 6 years after my IVA was originally started (which will take me to August 2105) and then apply again. Looking at my credit records they have b...

Sometimes I read posts on this forum and it's very hard not to judge when posts just don't quite add up. If you're in arrears of £1300 having not made any payments towards your IVA in the last 10 months that works out at £130 a month, which seems a very low level of payment to begin with...yet you s...

I had a F&F offer accepted in December 2014 and my IVA was finally completed in June 2014 (took my IP 6 months to issue completion certificate but c'est la vie). Since June I've noticed that my IVA has been removed from the Insolvency Register, and is showing as having been completed on credit repor...

You don't say what the original amount owing to creditors was, which would be helpful. However, just based on the figures you've quoted, an offer of £3k is unlikely to be accepted, as your husband presumably has 24/25 monthly payments left, so even if the payments didn't increase that's a total sum ...

Been through it twice in similar circumstances. i.e. when there was just over a year of monthly payments, no equity etc. My parents offered a lump sum slightly less than my remaining payments (against my advice) and I still feel I was let down by my IP because whilst that offer was declined, I wasn'...

Welshwiz - you mean your Noddle report doesn't show your IVA at all ?. My IVA is still showing as being 'active' on my Noddle report, but that monthly report was completed a week after my completion certificate was issued, so I'm not surprised that it is yet to show that my IVA has been completed - ...

But my credit record suggests that I've defaulted on a monthly basis right up to the present day, i.e. every month since I entered into my IVA.

One associated issue I am not clear on is the matter of defaults to creditors. My credit report for last month shows that my accounts with the creditors included in my IVA are in default, as they have been every month since I entered my IVA. When are those defaults removed ?.

I must have been lucky as my entry disappeared within 2 weeks of my receiving my completion certificate in early June 2014.

Only the free monthly report I get from Noddle, the most recent of which was produced under a week after the completion certificate had been issued so I wasn't surprised that the completion of my IVA wasn't shown on that given the short timescale. Interested to see what my next monthly report says w...

I only got my completion certificate a couple of weeks back but the record of my IVA has already disappeared from the Insolvency Register. Credit report however yet to be updated so expect that to take nearer three months.

Yes, I was thinking more of circumstances where say a grandparent passes away and there's no specific inheritance being provided to the person in the IVA, but your parents says "well Grandad would have wanted us to give you some of his estate" and you say "well that's very kind of you but I'd rather...

Surely the simple way around this, if you can, is to ask whoever may be giving you the inheritance to offer it to your IP as a full and final settlement, with that sum only to be offered for that purpose, as opposed to actually giving you an inheritance ?.

Payplan now claims that its account department is "awaiting a creditor refund", whatever that means ?. Also got a 6 month statement from one of my creditors last week which showed that my IP hadn't paid a penny to that creditor from October 2013 to April 2014. Which begs the question "where has the ...
