I have just read most of the posts on the bankrupcy forum and am thinking it maybe an answer. [:0] A few questions that are really concerning me are... Am I right to say if there is no equity in the house (valued at £104,000, mortgage of £94,500, secured loan of £17,500)then if we can keep up paymen...

Thankyou again for the support, it means so much to me. I have an application from another company for an IVA so I think I'll get that sent off too, have also sent my info through on Melanie's website, so look forward to hearing from them. To be honest, I think like a lot of people, I considered an ...

Hi, thanks for all the replies. £270 was the minimum we were advised we could pay due to the majority of the debt being with HSBC and not wanting to risk offering them lower than 40%. I cant see how another company could work out a lower payment without compromising this 40% and therefore risking a ...

Hi, thanks again for all the fantastic advice and support I have received so far on this site. Things are still up in the air for me unfortunately, we have received a proposal from 'Money Debt and Credit Ltd.' with a figure of £270 per month IVA payments over 6 years. Our exact debts are as follows....

OK, so my husband and I have approached two companies to work out IVA proposals for us. It seems that it is the best way forward and I am feeling a bit more positive about our future. The problem I have is this...the first company is Debtfixers, who are the company we are with through our current DM...

I have posted a couple of times on here and have received some fantastic advice, our situation has changed recently though and now I'm not sure what to do. We are in a DMP, with all creditors accepting reduced payments except HSBC (grrrrr!), and we also have a secured loan. The majority of the debt ...

I recently posted to ask advice about whether my husband and I should move from our DMP to an IVA. Thanks very much for the advice I received, I was just wondering if someone could clarify some issues for me? Basically, we owe around £40K, of which £17.5K is a secured loan, which I understand we can...

Thank-you David and Melanie for your replies. We need to re-do out I&E, obviously at the moment with the redundancy I am not sure how the money situation is going to work. Our mortgage is a homestart one, interest only payments for 3 years, then it turns into a capital re-payment (with a big hike!) ...

My biggest concern at the moment is the loan with HSBC, Debtfixers are allocating them £92 from our DMP payment, as I mentioned they have refused to accept this and last month just took the money from our account. We are going to close the account down, there is nothing in there now anyway, but what...

Barclaycard - we both have one but mine is very small now about £100, main debt with husbands card.
Does that help? Thanks.

My house is valued at £116,000, mortgage is £94,000 but we have a secured loan of £17,500, so no equity there unfortunately. We did go to the ba...

Hi there, this is my first post, really could do with some advice as I am confused and so stressed about what to do for the best. My husband and I have unsecured debts of around 28K and a secured loan of 18K. We recently entered into a DMP with Debtfixers, we paid them £250 to set up the programme a...
