Does your IVA come off your credit report as soon as you complete, or 6 years after acceptance like other debts? We received our CC this week (yippee) and I checked the Insolvency Register and was delighted to see we are off it immediately! Wondering if the credit report will also be update straight...

Finally, after 6 of probably the toughest years of my life I got home today to find my completion certificate has arrived!! Can't tell you all how good it feels to have got through this journey and still be married and sane too! Melanie Giles and PJG have supported me all the way, had a few wobbles ...

Neither of these debts have been marked as 'default' only as 'settled'. If they were the right date I would be happy with that as it's less defaults on record. However as they are a year behind it will mess up the credit files. Should I push them to add defaults on the correct date or just leave it ...

My IVA was accepted on 23/09/2009 so keeping an eye on the credit files in the hope all will be clean before too long. However, I have spotted that 2 of my creditors marked the agreements as 'settled' but around a year later in 2010, presumably when they sold on the debts? I want them to change thes...

We are fortunate enough to be going to Florida on holiday this summer (very generous in-laws are paying!!), however I've just had a worrying thought about the entry requirements to the USA and am wondering if being on the insolvency register is likely to cause any problems entering the country? Real...

Thanks for that, we have an Aqua £500 credit card now which we pay off each month and a phone contract with EE so hopefully these will show we are now responsible borrowers? In terms of the CC, I read somewhere that it takes 3 months following issue of a CC for your details to come off the Insolvenc...

Thanks but that thread relates to people still in their IVA's, I will be more than 6 years past the start date so was hoping that I would not have any issues given all the issues will no longer be on my file.
Can you advise why you think I will have difficulties?

Hi folks, bit of advice/guidance required. I paid off my IVA in October 2014 but am still awaiting the CC due to one lender dragging their feet. From October this year onwards all my old defaults will have dropped off my credit file, assuming I can get the CC processed soon and my name taken off the...
