Hi all, just after some knowledge on this if anyone has it! My husband and I are in financial problems, but we re riding the storm with Payplan at present. I have today received the form for a mortgage break with Northern Rock due to being on maternity leave. I have had a look at the affordability c...

We aren't trying to avoid our debts, I just want to see if I can stop them charging interest which will mean our debt go down instead of just increasing. We are in a DMP, but this is our 1st and hopefully last CCJ. Our house will need to double in price before Link would get a penny.

We finally got a copy of our credit agreement with GE Money, of which the debt has now been passed on to Link, and I noted that it has not been signed by anyone on their behalf. We recently had a Final Charging Order for the debt of roughly £5k but are worried about the interest of 20% being added, ...

I have some cash coming shortly, and we were hoping to pay it into our DMP. However, it seems that our roof has a problem of cracked leading which is leading to a leaking roof into our bedroom. We have been told by roofers that the work will be around 1k. However, it never came up on the survey 18 m...

The judge has our objection paperwork, but today we had a letter from Link dated the 8th saying that they have applied for a CO(surprise surprise. I called the court and they said that I should hear back by mid next week, and they had not yet received the CO application, but the hearing is likely to...

In our DMP, most have been co-operative. MBNA are accepting about £3.50 a month, Egg have accepted our offer, Alliance and Leicester,, Halifax(Overdrafts and Credit Cards) have been very pleasant(although through blair oliver scott). Cahoot accepted too. GE Money were very unhelpful and passed on de...

To Payplan's credit, they are doing fine for us. It's just been Link who have always point blank refused any offer. As we are going through the court now, they are there to advise us now. As the court in their 'kind' correspondence said, we have to defend ourselves, and will not let any third party ...

Just as an update on my CCJ, I had a letter from Link Financial asking for full addresses of our other creditors. I called them to ask why they needed it and the said that it was to inform them as a courteous gesture to inform them of our Charging Order. We have not got the interim CO yet!! I also a...

Many thanks for that David, that link has sort of made sense! I called the court this morning(charming as ever), who stated our N245 had been sent to Link Financial and they rejected it. I thought and was told that by numerous parties after we submitted we would have a hearing. The court have told m...

If a charging order is put in place eventually, does this mean it just freezes until we sell our house, or that they still get paid by us each month, but if we don't they can force us to sell?

The thing is if we can afford an instalment plan on the CCJ, we can be ok as I'm due a payrise in a few months. If we can avoid an IVA or BR we will. We don't care if it takes us years, we just want to know whats what with the CCJ as so far it seems to have contradicted everything even the court adv...

I just want to know when I get my chance for a hearing to pay affordable repayments. I just can't believe they do it without notifying me of a time/date etc.
