Thanks Kallis. Trying to remain positive and keep trying to think of payment as a loan. I think its just sometimes wishing we could do more with the little ones. I suppose at least all of this will be over before Uni time comes!

Hi all. We are well into our second year of our iva. Its a 6 year one with a possible 7th year with the equity clause. thank you for your reply. I am with NRAM at the moment and it recent statement pack they included a leaflet on being prepared for the bank of England to raise the rates! I really wouldn't want to sell as getting back on the ladder later on would prove difficult.

Hi all. After some advice please. If interest rates are increased and the impact on my mortgage payments is high, what would happen. i.e. reduction in payment or would selling be an option? If I request overdraft through my bank, will they credit check me and if they see iva, could they close my account?

Hi lulu. They weren't included in iva as no balance and forgot I had the account. I rang automated number and it said I had available credit and online account is active.

It says, "I shall not incur any further credit greater than 500 without prior approval of supervisor". That sounds like I can use the card then? It only has a small limit and I will clear it asap. It would be good to keep for emergency stuff too.

sorry, wasn't very clear. Hes not doing it now. We thought we could do a little here and there to stay under 10% but hes now been told full amount is due by December. Not looking good for him!!!
