We started our dmp back at the end of last year and now have had interest frozen by all but two creditors (HSBC have reduced it and Bank of Scotland have done nothing(!)) - everyone else has been helpful and after an initial flurry of calls and letters we now hear very little from any of them. We ha...

I could never get myself onto the map Skippy. Don't know if I was doing something daft but I'd go through all the obvious steps, press the button and...nothing!!! Gave up in the end!

Hi We are currently in a dmp which has been running fine since last December and I just wondered whether there is any equivalent to the payment break in an iva for dmp's? It has always worried me what would happen if our p reg mondeo cost lots at mot time (like it did last year!)- it's not for a few...

As a secondary headteacher I can let you know that all teenagers should be receiving financial guidance as part of the National Curriculum now. As with all new things, it takes time for some schools to get it up and running but there are some brilliant resources and speakers out there for schools to...

Thanks for your responses - I will wait to hear from Viki and see if we have any other options. We just want to pay back what we owe and move on and while some creditors have been great, others make you feel like you are beating your head against a brick wall!

IVA Question Is it possible to set up an iva if you would be able to pay off your debt in full over less than five years? We have quite a high level of disposable income and could pay off our debt (just under £100k) in that time if the interest was frozen but have been advised by two companies that ...

Thanks Jan. I believe Vincent Bond have already contacted them so hopefully things will improve eventually. Can't believe i'm actually waiting for the debt to be sold on - a few months back I'd have died of shame - ho hum! How times change!

Bank of Scotland and DMP's We are currently in a dmp with several creditors, some of whom have already frozen interest and charges and others who have stopped calling but still charge...and then there's Bank of Scotland. So far, they haven't made any acknowledgement of the dmp and still phone regula...

Hi lisae We are also setting up a dmp (started in December) with Viki and I feel like I'm forever ringing and emailing her! It is scary and although everyone tells me that the letters/phone calls etc are normal I still hate them. We mostly ignore the phone calls now - unless I'm waiting for a specif...

In reply to the earlier question, our creditors rang loads until the first payment went to them and then calls dropped right off. We tried to do as advised on here and just ignore the calls - you can often tell it's a chasing call by the long pause before anyone says anything. To be fair, on the occ...
