Yes,
Sainburys have said right from the start that if I pay off the total balance then I only have to pay 75% of the debt. They are also not charging any interest at all on the outstanding debt so my £130.00 a month to them simply goes straight to paying off the debt.

I am in a self adminstered DMP with three creditors and have been for almost three years. I have got my debt down from £32,000 to around £14,000 in that time, still a long way to go I know but I'm making progess [:D] To me though I would never pay fees to a company to set up and run a DMP, if I had ...

Thanks for the replies so far. I did take out a consolidation loan 5 or 6 years ago to clear my credit card debts and then made the classic mistake of starting to use my credit cards again so in the end I maxed out my cards and had the consolidation loan on top! Which is why I ended up with debts of...

Hi Guys, I've been in a self administered DMP now for 2 and a half years and it's going okay. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, just! However I must admit I am getting fed up with having no spare cash and no real emergency funds! I'm paying back my creditors just over £500 a month and af...

I've been in a DMP for 2 and a half years and personally i don't think it's effected my credit history too much. I have a phone contract and never have any problems renewing that. I also have a credit card that is not covered under the DMP and they have just increased my limit without me asking. It ...

Must admit it did put me off when I first started looking at doing a DMP, the fact that a fair bit of the money I paid in would go towards the companies fees. If I'd paid in £9,000 and only £4,000 had gone to my creditors I wouldn't of been very happy which is why I do my own DMP which to be honest ...

Well I run my own DMP and I've always found that as long as you are upfront and honest, don't try to dodge their calls and are willing to talk to them then creditors are happy to help. After all in their eyes as long as they are receiving some money every month it's better than nothing, and it prove...

Yes I realise there may be problems later on in life but through luck or misfortune lol I've ended up with 4 seperate pension plans and I suddenly had this brainwave about getting some cash from one or two of them as I was sure you could do this at age 50. As I say though looks like they've changed ...

Hi, Has anybody tried cashing in a pension to try and raise some cash to pay off debts? Not sure what the rules and regulations are now and from I'm reading I may have missed the boat, I'm 51 in January and I thought you could cash a pension in at 50 but that may have changed to 55 now. Just wondere...
