I do hope you're right and that is a good sign but I still have concerns that this was finalised on Friday and as of now I have had no contact from either side. I find it odd that Susan Clay issued a statement on the trust deeds forum on 18 Oct but nothing has been issued here yet. I have had my val...

Absolutely gutted about this. I understand it may be believed that this new firm share the same business values and ethics but I guess we'll have to wait and see on that one but, having taken over a large number of cases en bloc, how can they offer a good level of service as they can't possibly be s...

I am aware that speculation does none of us any good but it's human nature to be worried about change, especially when you find out about it indirectly, rather than from the official source. I am very worried -we have paid 66 months of a 6 year iva and have gathered together house valuations and mor...

Well - don't post here for ages and now this is my second in 2 days! Now that it looks like there is equity in house I guess we need to go through motions of trying for re-mortgage - seems ludicrous when there is no chance of success but hey ho. If we approach our current lender, who say on their we...

Just had the valuation done and unfortunately for us, it appears that the housing market in our area is buoyant and our idea of value was totally off and the valuation looks to be between 50 and 75k more than we thought. Obviously overall that's a positive as there is equity in the house, and in nor...

Difficult to know really - I know what others have sold for recently but they were in far better condition and the 'forced sale' bit will have an impact too.
Will have an idea tomorrow as agent is coming out to
value/appraise so probably not long to wait now.
Another sleepless night worrying I expect!

Yesterday we paid payment 66 of a 6 year iva and now need to get valuations etc to decide whether equity needs to be released. Approached a local estate agent by phone this morning and asked if they could do a 'forced sale valuation' for us. They said they could but if it was required for legal purp...

I'm sure this has been asked before but can I sign to have lasting power of attorney when in an iva and if I can, will anyone involved find out about my iva? I'm 5 years in and managed to keep it quiet this long I'd die if anyone found out now. I had hoped this issue of POA had gone away but it seems...

Just a quick question I was wondering about- if you have an iva taken out,for example, under 2008 protocol,is that what governs you for the whole of your iva or do any updates/revised conditions apply to you too?
Thanks

Got an email tonight with a link to a survey saying it was on behalf of my iva company.
I will check this out with them direct before I decide whether to do it or not but just wondered if anyone here knew if it was genuine or not?
Thanks in advance

Hi Quick update. Rang the agents today and asked without giving names etc, what would happen if no guarantor could be found and they were 'no problem, we'll work round it' very casually so, although we aren't completely sorted yet, it does seem more positive. Asked if they would accept instead extra...

Hi Quick update - have had an email exchange with Melanie and she has given some very sound individual advice which, tomorrow, we will be folowing to the letter and keeping fingers crossed very tightly that things work out. Feel a little less bleak today so maybe tomorrows conversations and telephon...

Thanks everyone. Tried to contact the agents today but no answer so will try again Monday. The uni halls are privately owned now and 2nd year students regardless of circumstances will be treated as private rentals so the same will apply there according to what I read today. Have emailed form to Mela...
