Hi, I made the last payment into my IVA on January 2015. As the IVA was extended, we are well past the 6 years period for it remaining on our credit file which means when we receive our completion certificate in around two weeks time (according to our IVA provider) I have been informed I will need t...

Hi Melanie,

Thank you for the post. I don't have a lump sum at the moment and probably won't anytime soon, it was simply a general question if ever the scenario did arise and we were in the situation where this may be an option. Thank you for your response.

I was just wondering if anyone would be able to answer the following question as I am curious after reading several other postings. If my partner and I were to make an offer to our creditors to end the IVA, how is this usually c...

Hi, I have also had a card similar from a company acting on behalf of MBNA. I actually called the company direct, to give them a piece of my mind (have been speaking with this company on a daily basis). When I called the company, I spoke with a gentleman that found it rather hilarious that I had int...

My husband and I are currently going through an IVA and are waiting for the proposal to be put together. This has been going on for several months and out of all the creditors we owe, I honestly cannot say that any of them have been sensitive to our circumstances. We receive calls and letters from t...

I also asked re...

Thankyou for all your responses, this is certainly something my husband and I need to take on board. I appreciate your advice, it is nice to finally have someone to discuss the application with rather than keep it to ourselves. Thank you again, I will keep you updated.

The Company is called Kingsgate Insolvency. My husband and I were not really full aware of our options when our debt eventually came to a head. We had never heard of an IVA and the company were one that we actually contacted to enquire about a secured loan prior to opting for an IVA due to no equity...

Thank you so much for your response. The company does not begin with an S, it begins with a K. Yes we have been paying the comapny as we were told we needed to be seen to be making payments to them or the creditors would ask why we were not paying them.
