Hi Angela Did you address your complaint to the Data Controller at Egg? Their address can be found on the register of Data Controllers on the ICO web site. You will get an acknowledgement from the ICO with a case reference number, but don't expect a quick resolution! It took the ICO 10 months to loo...

Dougie, your credit file is shot until a year after your IVA completes anyway. Getting the creditor to amend it now, which they are under no obligation to do at this point, will not achieve anything! Once you have your Completion Certificate that is the time to sort out your file & then creditors ha...

I lived with parents during my IVA & they were not involved & knew nothing at all about my situation.

All I had to do was provide a letter signed by me stating how much rent I paid to them.

They want you to pay them to try & claim back the PPI you had on your loans/credit cards!

Politely told them I was not interested in their 'service' & to bog off... ![:D]

Hy Lynda.rs Check your paperwork for a section called "Termination Your Rights". I believe you can terminate it by writing to whoever you make your payments to. They will then be entitled to the return of the goods. but unfortunately you may still be liable for up to half the amount payable under th...

Well done on getting to the end. I got a letter from Payplan a few days after making my last payment confirming that all payments had now been made & that a certificate of completion would follow shortly. This turned up 6 weeks later & I was removed from the Insolvency Register within a week of rece...

After my IVA finished I saved up my disposable income for the year whilst the IVA & defaults were still shown on my CRF.

When all the bad stuff fell off my CRF I had a nice deposit saved for a new car & then no problem financing the balance at a sensible rate from a main dealer.

6 months is rather long, mine took 6 weeks!

Until you get that Certificate any windfalls etc will still be due to creditors!

If yours was a straight forward case I would keep pestering for it or wait until you have it before claiming that lottery win!

Hi Astrid.gy Have you checked what is stated on your original Chairman's Report? Mine from Payplan had a statement on part 2) v) stating that "should liabilities exceed the estimated figure listed in the proposal resulting in a reduction of the estimated dividend outcome by more than 0.05 pence in t...

The Credit Agencies keep records for 6 years so if the start date of your IVA & defaults are correctly dated they will removed at the 6 year point regardless.

Yes the accounts should be marked settled or partial settlement with zero balances. IF creditors don't comply you need to keep badgering them! They will then fall off 6 years from the default date as this occurred first & should have been the start date of your IVA. I found that even though accounts...

It was the Equifax credit score :

"Poor" while IVA / defaults (although completed/satisfied) on file

"Excellent" when IVA / defaults dropped off file

Did not bother with the Experian score.
