Hi FD, I am not sure how the funding from your workplace would work but, I am in the middle of a distance learning degree, which my company is funding. There were no financial check just an agreement that completing the course would improve my skills and therefore improve the work I do for them. I n...

I would agree with Indeep on this. I started the process on the 13th of January, I provided all information required by return of post and my creditors meeting is today. The only thing that has held up the process for me is not going straight to a company with an IP. If you are just starting this pr...

Hi I am in the sm situation with HSBC, I canceled all my direct debits, which include a loan and credit card from HSBC. They have just taken the payments anyway and increased my overdraft by doing it. I have ignored this practise because they are robbing themselves to pay themselves. Do you thing th...

Hi, I have just had a similar call from MBNA, I have a provisional date for my creditors meeting, but the guy on the phone was insisting that it would be much better to sor out my problems directly with them, than to take out an IVA. I asked if he was free to talk for all my creditors and then he st...

Congratulations Pap,I think we tarted this prosses around the same time, I don't even have a date for a creditors meeting yet. That will teach me to go through a third party. I would not reccommend it to anyone else, everyone should go direct to a comany with an IP.

Hi All, I signed my proposal last night and sent it of first thing this morning. I wish I had bypassed going through other people and gone straight for Dave or Melanie, they seem to get things going much faster,I have been at this for over 8 weeks now and some seem to get it sorted in 6. Never mind ...

Hi, I was looking at the list of creditors and I am no concerned that, appart from my HSBC bills all of my creditors are on the list that was posted and none of them voted. What happens if none of my creditors bother to vote?
Cheers Geo

Thank you Cath That helps a lot, at least they reopened the account so that you could use it. I would rather not change my account again as it would start questions at work (changing accounts twice in one month). If I can argue the facts with the bank I can then at least try to keep my debt problems...

Thanks Melanie, That sounds more realistic, my IP was just giving advice as to the posibility and that they would recommend that I change banks again, just incase. I think I will take the chance, as I don't want to risk my job (all I want to do is find an end to debt once and for all). Thank you all...
