I have also got the default balance still showing as high amounts rather than zeroed. I've been meaning to chase it up since my post in August, but with everything goin...

Hi Andy, I understand that the IVA will be on my credit file for 6 years before clearing off, however it is the incorrect details on there regarding the settlement that bug me. My IVA started in March 2007 and I settled it July 2009 with a full and final payment. A couple of my creditors had the cor...

A year ago I completed my IVA with F&F Payment. I wanted to switch mortgage from North/Rock but my bank wouldn't touch me with a bargepole even though I explained fully my past situation, they can see money in the bank and I have never defaulted on the mortgage. It was at this point that I joined Eq...

After completing, through a Full and Final Payment, my IVA and it being a year since this was done I thought I'd give an update on how the year has gone and also one further question at the end. Firstly managing finances is a lot easier and the relief of being debt free (apart from Mortgage) is imme...

[You may find that some of your creditors have been putting defaults on your account after your IVA was approved. If so, write to them and tell them to remove the defaults as they are not allowed to do it.] I am getting this underway from the advice in another post, but was just wondering if I just ...

Kallis3, good advice! I had the F&F Settlement and I have just registered for 30 days free with Equifax, there are 4 defaults on my Credit Record and it looks like it deserves a good tidy up. I think others should also do the checks. Leading on from this though is there a letter template or a standa...

Thought I'd give an update and hope for others. I now have a completion certificate :-) and I have checked the IVA register and I am no longer listed. In the end I managed to borrow £12,000 and it was accepted with 100% vote, the sense of relief was immense! I am still having employer problems thoug...

If there was a database of criminals with the same information available can you imagine the outcry and how MPs would say it's wrong to name and shame. I think a slant to anyone who's MP says there is nothing wrong with displaying this information they should then ask the MP to campaign for the same...
