I completed my IVA in August but it appears there is a bankruptcy charge on my property that needs to be lifted. It was a debt collection company that was chasing me before I entered into the IVA and were included in this. Can I take the necessary paperwork to the court to get this lifted or do I ha...

I am with GT and understand that if I sell my property before the CC is issued that any equity is classed as windfall and included in the IVA. I have been told that my CC is due to be issued late October, therefore is it possible to put the house on the market and wait for the CC before exchanging c...

GT have been fine throughout my IVA until now. I need to sell my house but cannot do that until I receive my CC. They have told me if I sell beforehand that the equity will be classed as a windfall. I think 6 months to wait is unfair.

I am waiting for my completion certificate from GT(F and F agreed two months ago). They say that it takes on average 6 months and when I chased it up they told me they are still awaiting claims from creditors and this can take up to four months and it all has to be done by letter. Is this correct?

So I can at least get it ready to sell. I do have quite a bit of equity, but my income (self employed) has dropped considerably and will need the money to support myself. Being 60 does not help looking for employment and still 4 years before I get a pension.

I will call them on Monday to tell them.
Losing my sister makes me realise how life is really too short and you only have one go at it. I just want to get the IVA completed and start afresh. Many thanks

Thanks for the replies. I do have a lot of equity in the property since the beginning of the IVA due to house price increases and inheriting my husband's equity in the property.

I have 9 months payments of £173.00 and in June I will have to get my house valued and a mortgage redemption figure. I will not be able to re-mortgage I expect my IP will ask for another 12 months payments. What I would like to do is raise the money by a secured loan to pay the last 12 months. Woul...

They told me too that it would be 6 months to be completed after all my payments are made. It seems far too long especially after you have complied with the terms of the IVA for 5/6 years, you just want to get on with your life. I will want to sell my house as I will be coming up to retirement and t...
