Thank you. I can't move on until I know what's going to happen with creditors but I appreciate things take time. Thank you all for responding and I will let you know how I get on.

My circumstances have changed dramatically recently and having spoken with my IVA company, who have been very helpful, I am waiting for a date for a meeting to see if creditors will accept my payments to date and close my IVA. Without going into lots of detail about my situation, could anybody give ...

Hi everyone. Another question about equity release. I have checked my original paperwork, and I have the equity release clause like most people. Mine is in month 66. However, at the moment, and probably the foreseeable future unless property prices shoot up, there will be no equity to release. My pr...

I have to say that I understand completely how you feel. I often feel like I have two versions of me - the 'normal' me (who everyone knows) and then the 'IVA' me. The only person who knows about my IVA is my partner. I would be mortified if it was common knowledge, I know that I am on my way to sort...

I have read lots of posts about equity release and wonder if anyone can offer any thoughts. My IVA is for 6 years; I have an equity release clause in the final year. When my IVA was set up, it was clear there would probably be no equity for release as I owe more than the house is worth. I am now wor...

Thanks Helen. I originally asked about the break back in May, which is why i am starting to panic a bit now! I have a feeling my emails and all my information wasn't passed on or dealt with at the time. Is it OK to speak to an IP direct when staff are already dealing with it all?

Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone can put my mind at rest please! I am relocating this month. I will be renting out my property, and I have a new job although i have taken a significant pay cut and at the moment it is only part time (this will change in time though) I have filled in a new I&E f...

I am moving house, hopefully in the summer, to be with my partner who lives 200 miles away. I will be looking for another job, although I envisage that I will not be able to match my current salary as there is little work available in his neck of the woods. We will be moving in with him - he is sing...

Hi. I have heard that we may all receive an additional weeks salary at Christmas, to compensate for having no pay rise this year, and for the fact there wont be one next year either. Can someone please clarify if this will have to be paid into my IVA? Obviously the extra cash would be so welcome, sp...

Mrs Moody - people who hand over 'windfalls' aren't just giving away their cash; they are paying back money they owe. Those who budget within an IVA aren't having their lives dictated - they have simply faced the reality that living off plastic and struggling (even if its a just a little bit) is no ...

My mortgage is currently interest only. If I move in with my partner, and rent out my property, could i use the rental income to switch to a repayment mortgage? or would the rental be classed as additional income and have to be paid into the IVA? The rental would probably generate £300 pounds above ...

What happens if utility bills etc increase during an IVA? I am three months into my IVA, and my water bill and my car insurance have both increased by more than £20 per month, each. This is a lot of money for me. have others experienced the same feeling of panic when bills go up but your incomings r...
