We completed last week nearly 3 years post iva. Our credit reports were clear, we both have stable, permanent employment and we felt very nervous like you. For that reason we went with a broker and paid their fee. It was a very thorough financial analysis of where we are and want we want to do. We h...

We completed a remortgage with Select Partnership on Thursday this week. They were fantastic and I would highly recommend them. We completed nearly 3 years ago, off the register, clean reports with all agencies and have a very competitive rate mortgage with a High Street Lender. There was a small fe...

You have to comply with reasonable requests and your completion certificate will not be issued without you providing certain information relevant to the last year. We had to provide P45s, last wage slip and last month's bank statements but not a new income and expenditure.

Have you checked the terms of your proposal? In mine, and many others from comments on here, you were obliged to get the valuations and mortgage redemption, not your IP. If this was the case then technically, you are in breach if you haven't done so. If it's an oversight and it was for yourIP to aar...

I have sent off for our references as we're considering moving. Our two lloyds accounts that were included in both ivas shows as satisfied (S) on equifax. No mention on noddle or experian. Is this ok or do I need to write to their data controller to correct.

Our's were and it didn't make any difference to us, in an iva you can only pay what you can afford to pay and the rest is written off.

Sorry to hear about your mum's ill health. At the end of an iva the IP has to perform a final annual review and can request bank statements as part of this. Failure to comply could, if taken to the letter of the arrangement, lead to a breach for non - compliance and the iva failing. Just send the ba...

We waited and then added to new I&E but we had her the end of May and our review was July. I had had an incremental rise in the April so it wasn't so tight for money.

We didn't have a dog at the start of our iva and had an allowance at our next annual review. It was fab, free exercises walking her and the perfect excuse why we were not taking holidays!

We did manage odd weekends away with careful budgeting and using clubcard points for meals out etc

To be fair, I would have said the same about Melanie! It was a little tongue in cheek! I really hope the forum continues. I have been on since early 2009 and honestly, I wouldn't have made it through without it. An iva is such a lonely thing and I believe that only those who have walked the path kno...

Your company's payment terms with creditors could allow them a percentage of monies paid into the iva so this could explain this? This payment would be an additional deduction to the ppi reclaim company fees. Your IP is obliged to provide you with a complete breakdown of where the receipts have been...
