What's the best way to try and open a basic account. I tried Barclays online and got declined even though I paid my iva off last year. I know I will have to wait till June next year for my credit files to be clear. Also how long should you wait before applying somewhere else.

Mine was longer than three months. I complained through email.

Its been over three month since my completion certificate and im still on the registar. Not amused. Why are some quicker than others to come off.

I'm sure I've read on here other people joining this scheme. If you can save on other allowances I think its ok.

I wasn't sure when my mot was due or if my car had one so I googled mot. On directgov you just put your registration number in and v5 document number in and it gives you all information you need.

I agree with credit union. I've been with them throughout my iva.
