Defaults stay on your credit file for 6 years. Even though you paid the IVA early the defaults still exist - they don't magically get wiped as if they never existed. You will have to be patient and creditors must report the truth whether the debts have been partially satisfied or not. If you were t...

Don't worry about this letter too much. I got one when I proposed my IVA as I had credit cards and overdraft with my bank. It is just a standard procedure and will be unenforceable once you are in the IVA, the banks know this but go through the motions anyway. Make sure you change banks now before t...

Very unlikely you will be able to secure a remortgage during the IVA. New IVA protocols have a 12 month extension or a secured loan from a 3rd party of your IVA company to cover this shortfall in equity.

You have to include all unsecured debt, whether it be to family, friends or other creditors. You don't get to pick and choose. Unless your family and friends wish to postpone you paying them back until the IVA has completed.

Save yourself any hassle and constantly being bombarded with letters and emails and sign the forms. You are not going to see a penny of the money and to be honest who wants to be pestered every couple of weeks or so.

I agree with Foggy McD are one of the 'far better' companies that administer IVA's. 27 and 25p as a dividend isn't too shabby either, my initial proposal was 27p and my wife's was 14p neither of us had an issue at the creditors meeting and other than the PPI issue didn't have any problems with our I...

I think this is something for the creditor to raise with your IP if they so wish to. I don't think this is going to affect your payments or frequency of payments.

I wouldn't worry too much, the specific question was asked and you answered it honestly. Questions like this are common place and normally do not have a bearing on much if they are seen as finalised and closed without issue.

That is a lot of accrued interest in just 4 years! £1400 not including HMRC's cut, I would tread carefully and not get 'stung' into giving out your current bank details in the hope that this is indeed real. If it is legit than I really hope you get to keep it and it isn't snaffled by your ex-IVA com...
