Does the new potential employer have an HR dept you could have an informal chat with? The iva may not be an issue, it may not even need to be mentioned.

Good luck.

I went to my local citizens advice bureau to get info on trust deeds.

They put me in touch with a couple of firms.

We were using credit cards every month until our insolvency. We would make minimum payments then spend twice that during the month.

It wont impact on any decision.

Good luck and well done for taking action

Just got Oscars renewal through and its up to £59 an month(3 year old lab, no claims).

Thats more than both cars and the home and contents insurance added together!!!

Petplan taking advantage as I really dont want to shop around, yet I do with all other insurances!

We got rid of our vanquis cards after about a year of clear credit file and it had done its job.

Very good method of boosting your score.

Nfu mutual wouldnt offer us a quote due to them perceiving us as an increased risk of a fraudulent claim due to our insolvency.

They were politely told to go away!!

There's a reason not to poke a sleeping bear with a stick.

I had a fair sized debt written off but wouldnt dream of pushing my luck with a claims company especially given that they may want a fee paid no matter what!!

I understand the temptation but I'm just glad to get through my insolvency.

Start small with things like a vanquis card.

It does take a bit of time.

Good luck.
