Crikey - they just called and approved me! Very happy but feels odd applying for credit. I certainly know how to respect it though now (I possibly even fear it to be honest) and will pay off very small amount I use each month in full.

Ahhhh! Thanks Foggy that's great to know. I was worried maybe it was just me! Thanks for the heads up so I can be prepared to politely say no thanks to PPI.

Hi all I have just taken the post IVA plunge to apply for a Vanquis card. Need to repair the credit file damage as the final step post IVA. However when I applied it came up that it has been successfully 'submitted' but that they need to speak to me to 'approve the application'. It says they will ca...

DFD always asked for 3 months bank statements. I never found it intrusive (since my entire financial status was laid bare to set up the IVA anyway) - just assumed it was proof of DD's and such and DFD never queried other expenses such as food shopping or drawing out cash - why would they.

Ours was 6 years from the start thanks to NRAM. So if we had had any equity it could've run to 7 years.

It's so fab when the vouchers come ... feels like you've not paid for them (daft I know but true) and makes the Christmas shopping that bit more enjoyable [:D]

I saved for Love to Shop vouchers every year throughout our IVA but I did this out of other allowances - we never had an allowance for it. I will continue to save with them too as I find with a young child Argos, Toys R Us and Matalan are pretty much all I shop in for her at Christmas. The shops Lov...

It certainly sped up ours - we were with DFD and got ours very fast. Our deed of assignment purely related to PPI.

It took 39 days from date of last payment ... to us getting our certificate of completion.

So from my point of view it was a great solution.

We had a minimum dividend that we only just reached (27p min and achieved 29p) so higher fees would have impacted this and caused us an extension.

If this is asking you to sign up to the 2014 protocol then you have the choice to sign or not. We were with DFD and chose not to sign up to the 2014 protocol. In order to ensure our closure wasn't delayed, Judith Anderton and her team arranged for us to sign a Deed of Assignment that related purely ...
