just checked the Insolvency Register and amazingly, less than a week after getting our certificates, we are no longer on it! Yey! Can't believe it happened so fast too! :) Now just to clear up the Credit files and it'll be all done. The only advantage to a six year IVA is that many of the old accoun...

Which firm are you with Sarahd as its always been my understanding that whilst your husbands contribution to the house should be taken into account to ensure it is proportionate to his earnings, the rest of his money should be his to do with as he pleases. He is not in the IVA afterall. However I do...

That's great Lemony. Ashley helped with our closure and was brilliant. She got ours closed exactly to the time scale she said so I'm sure you're in great hands now. Best wishes

As far as I am aware Jane the files will automatically drop off your credit file after the 6 years is up. You might want to check that any default dates on your credit file are correctly dated no later than the start of your IVA so that they drop off at the correct time.

I think you've probably been given bad advice here as I've seen posters on the forum who have managed to clear up their credit file AND get credit. I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm this.

Thanks Kravarran and best of luck for the rest of your IVA. It feels weird as I don't really any different and I don't think the habits I've picked up in the last 6 and a bit years will ever leave me now. I can't imagine not monitoring the finances like a hawk so the IVA is a lesson well learnt and ...

May I also suggest Lemony that, if Evette cannot help, that you ask to be passed through to Judith Anderton's team. Judith, who I believe is Head of Customer Support at DFD, was very helpful with us and has posted on the forum in the past. Worth a try if Evette cannot help but I am sure Evette may t...

I recognised the wording as we had same wording in ours with DFD. I think the 0.00 amount means, like ours, that no set amount of equity is required. Unlike some IVA's that have a set amount expected from equity. In the end we had negative equity and therefore no equity release or extension was requ...

Well today was the day! DFD came through exactly as promised, and our Completion certificates arrived in the post!!! Whoop whoop!!! [:D] To say I am relieved doesn't seem the right word. I think I am slightly dazed to be honest! I have to say, as it's only fair to give credit where it's due, that DF...

Our IP was great and they simply added on 2 missed payments at the end. Although they did say that any more than 2 missed payments would mean they would have to go back to creditors for permission to extend which I can understand as it said that in my chairmans report/modifications so fair enough.
