My first proposal was rejected but happily my second one was approved. When you're rejected it feels like you're the only person in the world it's ever happened to! Try to stay positive, you'll proabably be fine

It doesn't make a difference to their decision at the creditor's meeting. I didn't make any token payments at all. UIt might help with holding off the phonecalls though, I'm not sure. You can start saving the money as an emergency-contingency-panic fund if you like!

...and now I can! Brilliant feeling! 5 years till debtfree (ish - student loan will probably be with me till I die) And an end to the phone calls!

It's such a relief but it totally hasn't sunk in. Everyone on here has kept me going, I was so close to BR or worse. I was in a very dark place at times tbh. (I have other stuff going on too of course but this has weighed even heavier than my divorce) I've just seen an advert for an abseil next week...
