Well Melanie knows it's due anyway and to be honest I couldn't cope with the extra stress of trying to keep it quiet! My grandad used to say "Peace of mind is worth a million pounds" and it's what keeps me buying rail tickets even though no-one ever checks them! I have to go now and won't be back in...

Thanks Lesley

I'm just not sure if I am bound by the terms of an IVA if the IVA hasn't been agreed yet?

It's urgent in that I'm desperate to know!

My creditor's meeting is on Thursday. Today I received a tax rebate cheque in the post. Do I have to hand that over?

Hope someone knows, it's driving me crazy!

Figures released by the Insolvency Service also show that the biggest culprits are women aged 25 to 44.

I'm not thrilled with the use of the word "culprits"! (Should I hand myself in now or later???) Most of us are not like that woman!

My record was 5 in 90 minutes from Egg (also my smallest creditor!) Take turns in answering the phone and tell them the same stuff over and over. I promise they do tail off. Stay strong!

Good luck! I haven't made any token payments (no payments at all since April - eek!). I found the phone calls tailed off before the creditors meeting both times (this is my second attempt)

I haven't even had my creditors meeting yet but I can only say good things about Jones Giles. They are so nice to me when I phone/email in a flap and they even discovered I'm on the wrong tax code! Really happy with them.

Would also recommend calling 2 or 3 from iva.com and see what they say.

Good luck! Everyone on here is really nice - and lots of people always waiting for their creditors meetings too. I come on here just to let off steam and panic - and I always feel loads better afterwards!

My letting agent said they would do a credit check but i don't believe they did as I don't think I would have passed. They also said they would contact my old landlord and he told me they never did. They still charged for it though!

I have random one off bits of money added to my account from my dad, ususally for survival purposes! No one has said anything about them to me.

It's up to you when you stop paying your creditors - you might want to stop so you can start putting contingency money aside? And start buying food again!

Hi Loopy Most of my stuff is e-banking now too. I just printed it out and scanned it in and it was fine. I know it is daunting, especially if you haven't looked at the paperwork for a few months but try and get it done. Maybe do a bit at a time if yopu can't handle it all at once? Like one morning c...
