This post if further to my earlier one about making f&F offer. If in fact the f&f was declined, what is likely to happen in the short term? Do you have to get by on a wing and a prayer hoping you can make some kind of payment into the IVA after all other I&E is covered? What if this isnt as much as ...

Thanks James, I know its a long shot given our original debts were £65k approx, but we will otherwise be relying on the bank of england rate remaining low (indications on the news suggest rises around the corner) Even if a F&F was accepted, we will still have to be careful and weather the base rate ...

A relative has offered us £10k to make a full and final offer, because they dont want to see our IVA fail for the sake of our children. We will have paid in approx £9500 into our IVA shortly, and our debts were originally £65k. I need to get the paperwork our for the exacting figures, but in my best...

Thank-you for your kind support. I thought I would let you know I've called the Abbey back and got through to a lady in Glasgow this time. She refunded £50 out of the £55 without hesitation, and I told her many times in the call just how thankful I am to her. Just goes to show that the bloke I spoke...

Arghhhhh My income currently consists of incapacity benefit, and at the end of June my abbey account went 90p overdrawn, around the same time I had an operation, and consequently didnt read my statement which told me they would be charging £30 at the end of July for the luxury of my having been 90p ...

Hi, As it seems there may be an overpayment situation with our WFTC, can I ask what I am best to do with our I&E review form? The present tax credit award for 09/10 states we wil be getting £198 a month, but this was based on an income £5000 too little, so following a call to the WFTC office yesterd...

I know it possible to show increases for most things, but what about showing the increases in things like fuel and groceries. I usually pay by debit card, but often I will draw cash from out contingency to top these up if the pot has run dry near end of the month. I reckon my grocery bill has gone u...

David, Basically pre IVA I received the Higher Rate for the disability element when actually only entitled to the lower rate disability. (I am talking about tax credits) This meant quite early on in our IVA they re-calcualted last year and found an overpayment of £1800. They planned to take this bac...

I suspect I may have been overpaid by the tax credit system this year. I am already repaying and existing overpayment from a previous award period from the money they calculated I was due which turned out to be wrong. Possible looking at £2k In these situations do they become a creditor? thanks. xx

Kalla, your post also makes interesting reading, and I tend to worry about whats ahead too, but at the same time as taking care of the present. I agree that 4.29% for 2 years seems so good and will probably struggle to get as good adeal in 2 years. I need to acertain from my IP that if the extra is ...
