Hi --- have a read here: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva-do-to-your-credit-record The accounts included in your IVA ( which should have been all unsecured lending at the time) should have been defaulted as at the start of the IVA, so that they disappear at the 6th anniversary, along with the ...

You will need to discuss this with your IP. I assume that the tax bill in Spain will be regarded as an essential outgoing and be allowed against your income. I would further argue that the rebate from HMRC is not a windfall, as it is to be, effectively, passed to the Spanish Tax Authorities instead.

Normally further credit is a no no in an IVA, however, sometimes it is required ... for instance, many would face the "no car = no work = no IVA payments" scenario, so a pragmatic view should be taken. The finance company mitigate their increased perceived risks by charging a premium interest rate a...

Moneybarn and, I believe, Sprout deal with adverse finance applications. But do not commit to any deal until it is signed off by your IP and the repayments allowed within your I&E. Many of us, myself included, limped through the IVA on "EBay Specials" --- a bit of care and a lot of luck is needed, b...

Congratulations ! Most F&F offers are neither full nor final ! They are usually just a freeze on regular payments, pending formal completion of the IVA, which can take up to 6 months, although many do it far faster. This is to allow final checks, 'i' dotting and 't' crossing, and final dividend dist...

If you are in an active IVA, which has not formally completed then this would fall under "has made a composition or arrangement with his creditors and he has not been discharged in respect of it ". Having looked around, it does seem to differ from LEA to LEA, with many just restricting those in bank...

I would be inclined to ask my IP to terminate the IVA, if this is the route you are set on, rather than allow it to simply lapse, which could take some time (three months missed payments, then reminders and correspondence before the IP even starts). Also check paperwork for any bankruptcy clauses or...

I think that, as long as we are talking saving at least a year, it should still be an attractive option for creditors --- they don't like being in IVA's either !

If you bear in mind that the process often takes around three months, you will have made another 3 payments, so the best part of £1000 in further payments, bringing the £5k much closer to the mark. BUT .... you will only be saving yourself just over a year: The IVA will still be on your credit files...

Well the £6100 will get them pretty close to the figure they would be looking at over the next 5 and a half years, so, from that perspective, it is a good offer. Also, regular payments of the order of £100 get largely eaten up by admin and time costs, so a lump sum will be beneficial to creditors as...

Yes, finding a lender would be difficult ... more so a lender without eye watering rates. However, the stumbling block would be your IP as there should be a restriction on your title deeds which would alter him and deter a lender. If you could extend your secured lending you would be expected to be ...
