Run a mile from whoever is ill advising you.

Take advice from another firm.

Any firm willing to lie to creditors to get things started is well worth avoiding!!

Its certainly a reminder that an IVA shouldnt be entered into without doing your homework. Choice of firms can make a huge difference to the running of your IVA for a 5/6 year period, make sure you are happy before you sign up. It is no silver bullet, but is a tool which under the right circumstance...

Unless circumstances dictate otherwise it has to be worthwhile for creditors. As foggy says a figure close to what they could expect is the starting point.

I still write all the incomings and outgoings in an A4 book, to be fair I did it before my trust deed(scottish iva) but back then it was littered was lies of what was getting paid. Robbing peter to pay paul, paying xxx to credit card no6 so we could then use it for groceries or fuel. 30 months time ...
