It may bring in to question the motivation for fostering. Horrible as it may sound and I mean no offence. Not sure anyone ever got rich fostering but everything is looked at very closely. You would need to disclose it so maybe an informal chat just now to see what they think will prevent a failed ap...

Seem to remember any time we saved up something went wrong and boom went the savings. Wise to be apprehensive about entering an IVA, it's a massive decision to make and isnt for everyone. Good that you are asking questions before deciding, so many people only ask question after they have committed t...

I don't think I have credit with any past creditor (bit difficult to remember who is alied to who these days), but I have had no problems getting modest credit from several companies since my credit files cleared. As mentioned people need to always remember that they owe the full amount of their debts right up to the end of the iva. Only then is any portion written off.

Inheritances often bring up the same issues during an iva.

It gets easier over time. Try if possible to save up a little emergency kitty (not always possible).

The envelopes idea is great if you can control the urge to borrow from them if you are short one month!

Best of luck.

I would ask them to review what you have as available income and make sure your figures left little spare!!! Bit of a scam that you have to pay half of what your payment was, clearly you wouldnt have had to if hubbys creditors didnt insist on 7 years. Did you expect this from the start, was it expla...

Sounds like they are struggling to keep up with the increase in cases. I assume you mean they cannot read the photos? Are they asking you to resubmit them?
