Hi - good to have you on board. It is hard when you start the IVA process and have to endure the calls and letters but please remember we have all been through this and although it is a struggle you do get over it and when the IVA is accepted they will all stop (sooner or later). You need to be stro...

Yes - I stopped paying everyone in March (approx 18 creditors) and IVA was accepted May 27th. I know its hard to stop paying because of the fear of the unknown but you do get used to the phone calls and letters. I used to take the phone off the hook until 9pm in the evening when they are not allowed...

Hi Beckie - I was up to date with my debtors until I applied for an iva in March. I wrote to all of them and sent them £5 each as a token payment advising them that i was applying for an iva (as suggested by national debtline). It appeared to make no difference whatsoever and therefore if the situat...

Has anybody any suggestions on how to stop hassle from the likes of Santander. They have passed my details to Viking collections and they are now on my case big style. I gave them all the information regarding the IVA but they said they will continue to chase me for the monies due. I've had a word w...

I recently took the plunge of telling my husband that we were 130K in debt (10 yrs of living on credit). That was the hardest thing I have ever had to do and god only knows how I managed to tell him. Anyway to cut a long story very short we decided that an iva was the best way to address the situati...
