They asked a few questions but nothing intrusive. They were very supportive and git the best deal at the time for us. We have continued to use Ryan's team for mortgages, insurances, pensions and our Will - They can refer you to some partners they work with.

I totally agree - difficult time for everyone, and sadly I can see more people having to reach out for debt solutions. Budgeting and sticking to a budget is all well and good when prices are static, but they are erratic right now and I am unsure myself how people will manage.

Simon363 - as the jobs market is quite buoyant right now, it might be worth considering seeking a payment break for three months to give your partner chance to find new employment. The missed months would be added onto the end of your iva, but it would give you some breathing space.

Agree that our experts will be a good starting point. I used Ryan's company to get our mortgage after our iva was concluded, and they were non-judgemental and nothing but supportive. I would echo Foggys last piece of advice ... money kept over each month, withdraw from bank and have it an envelope for a rainy day at home. Its your allowance, but I wouldn't give CF any opportunity to try and claim it back.

It sounds like they are being unreasonable in assessing income and expenditure.
