I think paid for accounts have their place providing you know what you are signing up for. We have a Flexplus account with Nationwide and for us it's good value - we use the travel insurance (even if it did cost us £200 once we'd listed our health problems!), mobile insurance and breakdown cover so ...

Ooops I didn't notice that! I haven't got the account now as the customer service was so poor so I suppose no harm done!

Lesley, where does Halifax ask if you've ever made an arrangement with your creditors? I had an account with them last year and don't remember being asked the question and I've had a look and can't see it. Hopefully they've removed it! To be honest I wasn't expecting to get an account with Natwest a...

I'm not impressed with Natwest as they don't seem to believe in second chances. I was looking to change my bank account and one of the questions was 'have you ever been bankrupt?' When I answered yes I was told I couldn't go any further. It doesn't mention IVAs so the majority on here should be ok b...

Topic: Am I within my rights to say no to a home visit for my annual review ?

Personally I would view it as invasion of privacy if an IVA company insisted on a home visit. I am choosy about who comes into my home and, if I was treated like Radish, the member of staff would have been told to leave very quickly! Annual reviews have worked perfectly well for years without home v...

We've got the Flexplus account as our joint account and I can definitely recommend it. We more than get our money back and it was the only way we could get travel insurance - their insurance covered us (for an extra premium) when none of the other companies would accept us.

Thanks Luluj, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I can remember announcing I was dying and I hoped it was quick - poor hubby didn't know what to do! I've been left with a few side effects but hopefully they will lessen with time, although I may have to have an endoscopy - fingers crossed I escape...

Glad you've finished your IVA.

I've finally managed to lose weight - still a way to go but having gallstones and pancreatitis gave me a kick start and I've managed to carry on. A stone and a half off and another stone to go!

Good luck Croydon Lady. I can't believe people are still having to wait so long for completion certificates.
