You should be fine Dominic if you only need SC clearance.

You should be absolutely fine - they are looking at criminal activity rather that financial problems. Good luck !

If it's just security then it shouldn't involve a financial check. You should be fine as others have said.

Hi Dominic,

I am in exactley the same position, my SC runs out in the next few days. As it covers a 10 year period I was already SC cleared like you when I entered my IVA. I know they do check your financial status. When I get asked to reapply obviously I will be up front (have to be) and tell them everything on that section of the form . I have made my last payment in Jan so waiting for my Completion Certificate (with GT). It would be good to get my CC now as like you I could attach it..not sure if GT would we willing to bump me up the queue or not?? Plan B would would to email GT giving them permission to disclose any info to DV on request (would they do that do you think?). Fretting a little as I would want them to reapprove another 10 years....I don't want my employer/colleagues finding out. Please let me know how you get on.
IVA finished Oct 2011, CC received 27 April 2012, No longer on Insolvency Register 01 May 2012. Jan 2013 - all Credit Files squeaky clean :)

Hi, It has been a few years since I last posted so have had to re register as I cant remember original log ons!
I had to undergo highish level security clearance/official secrets act etc with DVA and whilst I had to submit additional information there was no problem. i had a yearly review for two years and now they will check me in 5 years. I think they are quite happy that you are getting your affairs in order and no problem with the IVA I am coming to the end of my 4th year so only got to get through till June 2013!!
IVA has been a second chance and I can reccomend McCambridge Duffy wholeheartedly.
Good luck to everyone starting out on an IVA, it is hard but the destination will be worth the painful journey.

The situation so far

2. Added in some extra information and copies all paperwork relevent to the IVA including completeion certificate

Still waiting to hear that was sent off about 6 weeks ago.
