Hello all, well if my calculations are right we are 5 months down already - where have they gone to?!!
Well we are coping very well although i have to say with 7 family birthdays, christmas and car tax coming up I am wishing we had tried a little harder to either buy a little something each month or at least save a little harder.
September is my worst month income wise too so maybe I am just fretting a little unnecessarily :-)
Still feel great knowing we are surviving using cold hard cash instead of plastic - although when hubby tried to raid piggy bank for a few quid for some mints and lunch and i flipped out that we can never save if we keep "dipping in" made for a pretty tense morning of silences - i know i was being unreasonable but i would be lying if i said it didnt get to me every now and then.
Anyway I hope everyone is keeping well and not feeling too blue about the weather xx

Excellent post Claire. Glad everything is going ok.

I think we all know how you feel. November and December are my worst months for birthdays. I always dread them.

Glad you're well Clair and coping within the IVA, I'm a bit like that with my hubby don't worry, don't do wasting money anymore! I'm sure my middle name is going to change to Ebenezer post IVA as I watch every penny x

You are doing really well - keep up the good work and you'll soon have the first year under your belts. It is the worst one most of my clients tell me!

I'm now 6 months down! I can't believe it was this time last year that I was in the depths of despair and couldn't see a way out of my debt problems. However I would rather be where I am now, using my own cash to pay for things and not having the never ending calls telling me I had missed my latest payments. I admit I'm not quite there yet with the budgetting but I am trying. Two weeks ago I took the plunge and told my brother of my situation. That in itself was a relief and he was surprisingly understanding.I haven't told my parents as I don't want to worry them unnecessarily.
I have a few birthdays coming up so with Christmas as well it's going to be a tough few months. Thankfully I'm past the worse months with car servicing, tax amd MOT and I coped....just! I hope the next 6 months fly by just as quickly. Good luck Clairebear

Good luck to you too gwdihw, it's all about balancing the book and a good budget, you'll get there of that I'm sure.

Well done for telling your brother of your situation too and I don't blame you for not telling your parents, no need to worry them.

I'm sure the next 6 months will fly by x

Glad it's all working out and I admire you for telling your brother. Must be a weight off your shoulders.
