Hiya all xxx

Had a call today to say they have the re sent papers and it seems they have all they need there. We were promised they will go as quickly as possible and I hope so, I am sure they will.

He's doing amazing. Not at all well, incredibly ill but he's fighting.

I have taken to entering competitions, especially holiday ones lol, when he is well I might get lucky!

Hope all are well here xxxx

Hi Ida,

Good to see you sounding positive, and glad hubby is fighting! Hope he continues to be like that and starts improving soon.

I'm sure they will do things as quickly as they can, and then hopefully that will be one less thing to stress about.

Good luck with the competitions as well![:)]

So long as you don't get sunburnt!!!! Sorry Ida, couldn't resist that one, I am having a funny half hour!!

So glad to hear that R is fighting away and you sound so much more positive. Is he still visiting Velindre regularly? And has the car been fixed yet?

The car would have been written off, I mean they were borderline on it, sadly the mention of the hospital trips was enough to swing it, the damage wasn't that bad it was simply the age opf the car vs the cost of fixing. They fixed it and I have my beloved family car back.

My oldest boy is 17, we have never had a family hoiday, we did when he was a toddler but that was a brother and a sister ago for him and for them nada!

We were in deep money troubles! [:D]

Now we will have a clean slate, my R well and my kids bouncing..............a holiday will be wonderful!

(OK I am dreaming, no one wins those things but I keep trying!)

And yes sporry melanie, Velindre every 3 weeks well I say that, he has cycles of treatment, "long days" and then pills so he has a long day and then 28 days of pills morning and night.Around day 27 he is better, seemsd like his real self, can eat, a little, odd things, swallow..............then they zap him with the toxins and he's ill ill ill.

Are you seeing a slow but steady improvement in his health though?

Ida - someone has to win, why shouldn't it be you?

It must be really hard for you both going through this, but you have to keep thinking that he will come out the other side.

At least he is able to eat sometimes - hopefully those periods will get longer and longer!

When you win one of these exotic holidays - I volunteer to carry your cases!

Not at the moment Melanie.

IF anything the chemo made it a million times worse, the cure is far worse than the cancer SHORT TERM, I know, he is so so ill.

He'll be fine. he will come through it, he's 42, fit healthy young, he has to.

I keep saying thank you and I keep meaning it, that night, the diagnosis, I was here and ever since..........

He HAS to be fine, we have made our mistakes paid and now our KIDS deserve a life and they wil have it, with a mum and a DAD.

I am sure he will be fine Ida. Get this treatment out of the way and he will be back to being the person he was before.
