There are some evil people in the world. The police have stated that it's a complicated case, so we'll probably never get the full story. I'm just pleased she's alive and hope she's well, as a mum I don't know how I would cope going through something like this.......
It's nice to be back......

I found my self crying at work with joy that she had been found safe and well. I only hope she recovers emotionally and is allowed to do this privately. Well done to the Police and a professional thinks that child resiliance and counselling should get her through this. Let's all hope so and keep her in our thoughts x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Just heard the news and I am delighted for her and her family. As a father of four and a gradnparent of one I can think of no greater torment than to have a precious child go missing.

Absolutely made my day that has.

just reading this thread and thought the same as debbiw and rollercoasterride.....

size5 - it doesn't look possible from your pic that you are a grandad[:)]

On the news of Shannon I was so delighted to hear the news and I had a tear or two. I was disgusted by the media's lack of coverage for this missing child and heartened by the community efforts of the estate she lived on to help.

Great news
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

I heard on the news that her Mother was allowed to see her briefly but that a child protection order has been taken out for 'safety' reasons so I don't know what this all means.
Poor little thing I got goosepimples whe I heard they'd found her. I hope she' gonna be ok.

i suppose they need to check her mental wellbeing aswell. God knows what the poor little thing has been through. I know what you mean about the people on the estate. they portrayed it to be rough etc.. but by they know how to pull together in a crisis

yeah, they did look rough around the edges. The community spirit was outstanding though and it shows the strength that makes these communities survivors. The whole community has been affected by this and rightly so, I think there is far too much 'by-stander apathy' in today's society. Bring back the days when neighbours watched out for each other. Maybe then, there wouldn't be the thuggish louts running amock!
