Gina forgive me but I am a little confused, on page 2 you say you are with Payplan, then it changed to Grant Thornton.

Hopefully now DFD, can help you and sort it out, no one need stress like you have had to go through

Lol! Pandy its been an absolute nightmare. I was with payplan who let me lower my payments to a low amount without consulting creditors for nearly a year...then at the variation meeting the creditors rejected the lower payments. Grant thornton in name were voting on behalf of northern rock and rbs and voted no. So the iva failed as they said no to all the things payplan suggested..then we went for bankruptcy but because my hubby didn't really want bankruptcy we were told try for another iva as we didn't know this was an option before court...so we approached a few companies who said no as if the creditors said no they will again. However dfd said yes we will take it on and with no fuss or holding back got our iva approved at an amount we can afford . Hope that helps. :)

yes sorry, I got a little confused, I didn't realise GT worked for creditors as well as debtors.
Just glad you are getting sorted out, must have been a nightmare

:) well it tested everything in my life, but made our marriage stronger . A sense of humour was vital and a lot of self belief too. If by going through this someone who is at the beginning of the iva road gets a bit of hope then I am ok with that. Yes, its been like a virtual game, highs, lows and now calm ...could patent it :) yes grant thornton work for creditors too. Rejected all the proposals even taking the car off the road...dfd have managed to keep our car for us and petrol allowance....very good :)

Just wanted to put a not on the end of this thread for everyone that helped me with support or advice. We finished our iva on the 15th april. Full and final settlement was agreed in the new year. Our faily paid in installments and we are now waiting for our completion certificate. A big thank you to debt free direct for picking us up when we were down and being a constant help at the end of the phone. Declan is a godsend as is the forum. Goes to show you never know what's round the corner. Thanks everyone once again. My first wage will be spent on the kids all 8 of them . Will really enjoy it. :)

Thanks everyone. Thanks for seeing me and the family through the minefield. The strength you get from the forum is massive. I think the kids have the ages accounted for for the immediate future then disneyland is their goal! X.
