I'm glad it's not just me that thinks that! I've gone back to Sheer Blonde now - I suppose you get what you pay for!

I agree its horrible, I like herbal essences, its really nice on my hair.

I had loads of visitors the weekend, Mom and Dad outlaw my ex, my kids, stepdaughter, My grandbaby his mother and her parents, had to feed them all too. They dont know about my financial problems, I spent all my shopping money on food for them and now I am struggling this week, so I am going to try and make do. I didnt put all the food out at once and kept it cool, we had leftovers with baked potatoes on Monday, left overs and chips on Tuesday. We got some sort of Tuna and pasta tonight with galic bread that I didnt cook or its egg babps, the things we do, eh? No ciggies either. So I am a bit down, mind you there is a few bottles of bud and two bottles of wine, if I get through til Friday I am celebrating. My Grandbaby also left his fav blanket and teddy, they want me to send it... for goodness sake, he is only 8 weeks old, he can wait til next week but I feel guilty about that.

Dave uses Herbal Essences. I only use Sheer Blonde as it actually does what it's supposed to do and my highlights last longer.

Tuna pasta sounds nice Lily - I always keep pasta in the cupboard as there's always something you can do with it. Oh dear, that makes it sound as though I can cook doesn't it!?!?

Our Elsa eats anything (quickly before dogs muscle in).. we have felix 3 boxes for £7 at the minute.. and the dogs would eat you if you jumped in there bowl!!

I've tried to cut down, but somethings need to buy brands.. Walkers crisps as other makes get wasted and still need to buy Walkers again for baits!! So that was false economy.. My delicate bum is used to Asda loo roll now so Andrex got binned!![:I]
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

Harry is a fussy little so and so! We can't give him Felix as it doesn't agree with him, which was particularly unpleasant for all of us! He loves his Whiskas Fisherman's Choice, but refuses to eat the salmon flavour - my mum's cat gets lumbered with those! I tried him on Oh So Fishy and he sniffed it and looked at me as if I was trying to poison him! I wasn't too disappointed that he didn't like it as it made the kitchen stink!

years ago...when we were indebt before...i think it was before the first consolidation loan..LOL...we were "encouraged" to shop at places like kwik-save...we bought all their own brands...and after 3-4 weeks we used to sneak off to safeways as the tea bags..coffee.cereal ..beans etc..were all revolting...its one thing to try and save money but when the kids and OH werent eating the jolly things it was pointless....
i do try to use own brands etc for loo roll and the like...but for other things i still tend to buy "proper" names...you cant beat heinz tomato soup.!!! no other brand comes close...

I would rather have good quality beans on toast than Farm foods or kwik save any day. You have to look forward to something at the end of the day, even its beans on toast with Heinz beans, good bread and clover and a free range egg.

I once did a shop at Farm foods and most of it went into the bin after I had cooked it. Never again. You could actually smell the cerial used to bulk out the meat.

Cheap washing powder is rubbish, fabric softner makes you feel like you got fleas and cheap loo roll is cr*p and lasts about five mins in my house.

Electricity costs a fortune, if youre going power up the washing machine, cooker and dishwasher, you might as well be pleased with the results and the bit in between.

I totally agree Lily! I've decided that sometimes trying to save money is false economy.

Speaking of fleas.........we once tried to save ourselves a bit of money and instead of buying frontline flea drops at £23, we bought Bob Martin's spot on for about £3.

We put it on the cats and thought nothing more about it. About half an hour later the tom cat came weaving across the front room floor like a snake and he was foaming at the mouth and his eyes were rolling. He had managed to lick the part of his skin that had the flea drops on.
I thought he was going to die. Jon grabbed him and washed him under the kitchen tap and even washed the inside of his mouth.
The cat slept for hours after and when he woke up he was fine.
Needless to say, only front line these days whatever the cost

That was almost certainly a seizure Mrs S, although I have never seen one in a cat, I have seen loads and loads in a human.

My mum used that on her dog and she started walking round in circles and whining (the dog, not my mum!) so she never used it again.
