I am a director of a firm, but not a shareholder and therefore under other terms an employee. My IP is asking for details of my employers trading accounts etc. surely this isnt relevant?
i foolishly used Thomas Charles who i didnt realise were just a money taking intermediary and no matter how many times i tell them this fact i have again been asked by my IP for the same/similar information.
i may be a senior employee, but is it relevant and indeed necessary to bring my employers into this in such a dramatic manner?
Given that you are in a senior position with the company, it may be that your IP wishes confirmation that the company is financially sound and in a position to continue to cover your salary in the medium to long term.
I don't think the request is unreasonable, as IPs have a duty to fully investigate their client's financial circumstances and to ensure that the IVA proposal they are putting their name behind has a very realistic prospect of conclusion.
Have you explained this fact to the IP directly, as there may be some confusion over the fact that you are a director but not a shareholder. This is actually quite unusual, and the IP's staff may be more used to dealing with director/shareholders where of course the need for full accounts is more than justified.
Well, here's the thing!
i went through Thomas Charles and they have sent my case to an IP who have just accepted my case. I have literally last night only filled in the consent form, but...
,,, it is Philip Gill, in Cardiff!
Im delighted by this fact and as soon as they get the consent form i shall be asking susan all these questions (and more)
That is one of my companies, so I guess we will be having a chat very soon about this and other matters. It would be helpful if you could drop me a line to my website just so that I can tie up your forum name with your real name.
