Hi. I have just come off the Insolvency Register after waiting the mandatory 3 month period from my IVA completion. I have checked my credit report and a couple of creditors that were included in my IVA are showing as Partially Settled. My questions are:

Should these not be removed from my file completely as my IVA finished in January after 6 years?
If they must remain will it affect remortgaging?

PS Everything else is fine with my report

Thanks
Darren

They should come off if they defaulted the accounts correctly, with default dates on or around the start of the IVA. If the accounts were never formally defaulted they will remain visible.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Hi Darren,

It's worth checking all 3 credit reports (Experian, Equifax and Callcredit/Noddle) as different Lenders subscribe to different Reports and some will check more than one.

You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

Thanks for all your replies.

I have only checked Equifax so far but will check the other agencies to see what they hold. The 2 partial settlements are both from old Santander current accounts I held prior to entering into a DMP before it moved to an IVA. They don't show as defaulted although as they were part of the DMP and IVA so I assume that they were defaulted, but as not technically a loan I'm not entirely sure.

Hi Darren525
You could check Clearscore as this is the free Consumer version of Equifax, & see if the data is different. It's not uncommon for credit reference agencies to hold inaccurate data. When you enter a DmP it's normal for accounts to enter Default, so on that basis it's definitely worth following this up with Equifax etc & ask for a Correction.

Good Luck
