to tell my IP that I changed my job and now earn 4K less than previously when my lovely husband is picking up the slack and covering my fuel costs and other household bits for me? we are managing to get by.....I dont have so far to drive to get to work now so its a bit swings and roundabouts. I am happy that I can continue with my current payments and there is a good chance that after completing probationary period, 6 months that I will get a pay rise...

will they be happy to just let me continue and inform them of change at next review or should I tell them now?

many thanks

All changes in circumstances should be at least discussed with your IP or team who look after your IVA. What happens if 6 months from now your other half won't be able to back up your payments, then your IP will ask why this wasn't mentioned before. All of our circumstances change all the time and in the current economic climate it helps to be upfront with your IP all the time.

Agree with Antm, let your IP know but if hubby is happy to help out then it shouldnt be an issue at all.

I agree that you should keep the IP in the loop.

well they said If I am happy to continue with current payments and to let husband assist then they will leave doing an I and E until july. But was nice to know they were immediately concerned that I could cope rather than struggling.
Am strangely left feeling that they are not the ogres I had them made out to be in my head.... shame on me.

thanks guys.

Agree with others keep IP in the loop with any changes to avoid any surprises at review times. Lovely hubby you've got there picking up the slack.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

IPs generally want to keep abreast of their clients changes in circumstances, and you ought to be able to update them by way of a quick e-mail.
